Sumario:This paper analyzes the lithostratigraphic features and the ostracode assemblages of the Upper Tortonian deposits located in the central sector of the Guadalquivir basin. Seven facies were defined, being deposited in fluvial to upper bathyal palaeoenvironments. Three main ostracode associations (infralittoral, circalittoral, upper bathyal) are defined, indicating a transgressive cycle throughout this period
