Descrição
Resumo:[EN] Taking into account the meaning of topos the most recent works by the Italian-Portuguese couple of architects Cannatà and Fernandes are reviewed. To that end, the text runs through the projects built over the past five years. The relationship of each building with the surrounding environment and the context is analysed, as well as its memory, level of intensity and the common aspects among all of them. One of these aspects is the visual and material simplification of elements as a result of some decisions regarding the construction and the appearance of the building. The formal rotundity of the designs coexists with very simple materials overlapping what exists in order to adapt the building and create a new layer in the collective memory of the public space.
