Sumario:[EN] The e ectiveness of the problem based teaching on the science learning has been highlighted by the didacticresearch. This teaching model is characterized by organizing the units around problems and by proposinga research plan to nd a solution which requires concepts and models to be introduced in a functional way,as possible solutions to the problem. In this article we present a problem based unit for teaching quantumphysics in introductory physics courses and we analyze in detail the teaching strategy that we follow tobuild a model to explain the emission and absorption of radiation
