Reduced order models for pollution transport (advection-diffusion) in urban areas
The Proper Generalized Decomposition (PGD) provides explicit parametric solutions of parametric PDEs. Here, this approach used to obtain parametric solutions of advection-diffusion models. | Sumario: | The Proper Generalized Decomposition (PGD) provides explicit parametric solutions of parametric PDEs. Here, this approach used to obtain parametric solutions of advection-diffusion models. This has to be split in two steps: first, computing the parametric flow pattern (depending for example on the wind direction and the wind speed); second, the advection-diffusion in which the velocity field (output of the previous step) is taken as input. Once the explicit parametric solution is available, the post-process is performed in real time. |
