Salih al-Himsi founds a mosque at the citadel of Málaga, though such a plain information must be questioned. Nevertheless, what really seems to be obviousis that since the beginning of the 13th century, a congregational mosque exists at the citadel of Málaga, since we have noted at least 5 jutaba exercising their function inside the citadel. The presence of this especific post of citadel preacher, wich on the other hand is relatively usual in several Andalusies towns since the 13th century, seems to confirm the institutional separation of the madina, with its own mosque of the Friday, unquestionably the one of the highest rank, from the qasaba, being in the centre of the governing functions, fulfilling the assignment of Dar al-Imara, that 'Abd al-Basit gives in the 15th century.[ES] Noticias del siglo VIII afirman que el famoso jurista y tradicionista sirio venido de Oriente,Mu'awwiyya b.
