| Resumo: | This article tries to elucidate which could be the influence of Rousseau and Montesquieu works in the practice policy of French legislative assembly, trying to connect this activity with the genesis and further development of the French Revolutionary Terror. After it, the paper discusses some aspects of the Marat’s writings as a possible father of the theory of the insurrectionary and revolutionary violence. Finally, it examines the influence of Robespierre in translating the illustrated ideas about the Theory of Terror as a foundation for Law, stating how the incorruptible left settled the doctrinal foundations for later forms of State Terror. |
