Sumario:To evaluate which are the best discriminant variables to distinguish ovine breeds, phenetic relationships among eight turkish and one french breeds or types were studied. A matrix of 7 morphological and 4 wool characters were analyzed by a K-means test. Results suggest that four fleece traits alone<br>total wool weight, staple length, fiber diameter and percentage of medullated fibers- permit a glimpse of differentiation among sheep breeds.
