Sumario:The house were the Tribunal of the Holy Office and secret jails resided, was successively in the streets of Francos, Pedro Barrueco and finally street Peña de Francia. Archbishop Carranza, Fray Luis de León, Francisco Sánchez "el Brocense", among others, remained here as prisoners. In this street it stayed from 1559 till 1809 when a fire finished it. The buildings of this last place were property of Pedro González de León. After the fire they were bought, repaired and enlarged by Pedro de Mazuecos, Felipe de la Cajiga y Juan de Mazarredonda. Temporarily it was in the street of Herradores, till its suppression.
