Sumario:[EN] Wood supply chain optimization has evolved from basic models to complex systems addressing real-world challenges. This review examines methods to optimize inventory, cut costs, and enhance sustainability. Effective systems must balance business needs with environmental concerns, aligning with EU waste management goals. Key research gaps include models that integrate wood¿s natural deterioration with multi-echelon supply chains. By synthesizing diverse studies, this work provides a comprehensive framework for inventory improvement that can deliver significant financial and environmental benefits.
