By doing so the author takes into consideration some of the proposals of the Interational Women’s Movement. The article calls for the necessity of being creative in promoting gender equity by following the paths opened in the Conference of Beijing more than a decade ago.Este artículo es una reflexión acerca de la eficacia de los Objetivos del Milenio en relación a los Derechos de las Mujeres, considerando de manera particular la situación de las mujeres asiáticas. Si bien la autora parte del análisis crítico del Objetivo 3 – promover la igualdad entre los géneros y la autonomía de la mujer-, el artículo propone nuevas vías para la transversalización de género en el resto de los Objetivos, analizando las carencias en su aplicación y presentando algunas de las propuestas que se hacen desde el Movimiento Internacional de Mujeres.
