In this paper the scant information preserved on Glorvina Fort is presented, as well as an analysis on her travel account. The narrative of Fort experiences in Tangier is strongly conditioned by her position as a foreign woman, and by her nearly ethnographic descriptions of domestic spaces in the city.[ES]: Glorvina Fort, hija del cónsul norteamericano en Tánger John Mullowny (m. 1830), pasó siete años en la ciudad en torno a 1824-31. En 1859 publicó un libro en el que relataba su experiencia en la ciudad norteafricana. Esta obra es el único relato de viaje escrito por una mujer sobre Marruecos en las primeras décadas del siglo xix, a pesar de lo cual tanto el libro como su autora son muy poco conocidos.
