| Sumario: | Wood samples were taken from Pinus halepensis, Pinus nigra and Pinus sylvestris in a large area, 50 km away from the 1200 MW coal-fired power plant of Andorra (Teruel), presumably affected by SO, emissions since 1982. The standardized dendrochronological series of annual growth rings during 1936-1985 do not support the hypothesis of decreased tree growth during the last four years, perhaps because this period of sulphur dioxid emission is too short to produce detectable effects at these distances from the power plant. |
