| Resumo: | [EN] This article aims to critically analyze the assumptions of the historical impulse we call nationalism —which is expressed in figures as varied as the polis, the State, the nation or the homeland— because there are signs that it is on the verge of collapse and it is necessary to propose an alternative. To do so, it is first of all necessary to make it plausible that the formula is no longer the answer to the problems of coexistence and that it is reasonable to look for a possible alternative.
