Sumario:The continental deposits of the northern border of the foreland Ebro basin of Campodarbe and Uncastillo Formations have been analyzed by means of the magnetic fabric. Two sectors separated 12 km were sampled near Luesia and Fuencalderas. Results suggest that magnetic fabric developed at a time near the deposition of the sediments in the foreland basin since the magnetic lineation (maximum axis of the magnetic ellipsoid) is perpendicular to the compression direction (following the bedding strike) and the minimum axis is perpendicular to the bedding plane (or forming an incipient girdle with the intermediate magnetic axis). In the eastern sector (Fuencalderas) a deviation of the magnetic fabric respect to the bedding strike is observed, which could be related to the termination of the San Felices thrust sheet.
