Taking as source the four first graphic novels by Alice Oseman and the adapted series "Heartstopper", the frequency, use and types of Anglicisms are examined in both sources and then contrasted. Thus, the analysis is both quantitative and qualitative. The results show that direct borrowings, especially integral Anglicisms and adapted words, are more frequent than indirect borrowings, structural calques, and semantic calques. The lexical units have been looked up in the different versions (print and online) of the "Diccionario de la lengua española" ("Dictionary of the Spanish Language"), as well as other lexicographic sources and specialized works to check their integration in Spanish and their provenance from the English language.
