With regard to this date we can make an interesting iconographic precision, for the saint cannot be shown wearing the uniform of a knight of the Santiago in the scene where he delivers the corpse of empress Isabella at the cathedral of Granada -as he is seen on several occasions-, since the death of the the sovereign took place one year before Borja took his vows as a knight of Santiago.[ES] En la iconografía de San Francisco de Borja, habitualmente vestido con la sotana de la Compañía de Jesús, institución a la que perteneció y de la que fue el tercer padre general, destacan algunas obras -de las que nos ocupamos en este artículo-que le representan como caballero de la orden de Santiago, en la que profesó en 1540.
