Descrição
Resumo:[EN] The commercial traffic of wine in the Mediterranean in the Early Modern times was not interrupted during the centuries of confrontation between the Ottoman Empire and the Spanish Monarchy. Even the corsair cities, as is the case of Algiers, became the big centres of the redistribution of this alcoholic beverage. The European sources consider that without this liquid, life would be almost impossible and that the use of wine among the renegades who live in Algiers and Tunisia was quite frequent.
