Descripción
Sumario:This paper aims to find out the main reasons that motivate children and teenagers to sing in a choir. It also explores what activities are carried out there and what they mean to choirs. Several different kinds of choirs in different social environments are examined. According to the findings of the questionnaires completed by conductors, children and teenagers decide to join a choir on their own initiative or because the activity is offered at school. The commonest activities carried out are taking part in social events, solo concerts or concerts with other choirs. These activities help children and teenagers grow as human beings and interact with other people, and educate them about values and habits as well as giving them a music education
