| Sumario: | In the central Iberian Chain (E. Spain) the regional, tectonoeustatic events seem to have determined the development and distribution of facies. The lowstand deposits correspond to a thin, condensed level of Fe-oolitic limestone, developped during the Lower Oxfordian. The transgressive systems 'tract corresponds to the deposition of the Middle Oxfordian sponge-limestone facies (up to Schilli Subzone). The highstand systems tract corresponds to a prograding invasion of terrigenous sediments on the platform from the western, emerged massifs, between Bifurcatus and Iowermost Planula Zones |
