Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this project is to develop embedded software for an automatic gear shifter of an European vehicle manufacturer. The entire project is carried out in the division of Command and Control Systems of Ficosa, an automotive components company. The type of automatic gear shifter to develop is also known as Shift by Wire (SbW), and software plays an important role on it. In this type of shifters movements made by the driver are not transmitted mechanically but transmitted electronically. The main feature of the system is to detect the driver’s movements using magnetic sensors. It also implements a parking button and manages communication with vehicle and development tools, among others. This project describes in detail the SPICE procedure followed during software development and major tasks performed both technical (requirements, design, implementation, etc) and management (planning and cost estimation).
