Descrição
Resumo:Los Cañones, an informal settlements neighborhood situated atop the summit of Turó de la Rovira in Barcelona, Spain, embodies a rich tapestry of history, culture, and community resilience. However, like many informal settlements worldwide, it faces numerous socio-economic challenges, including lack of formal development, inadequate public spaces, and urban blight. Recognizing the potential of creative placemaking strategies to foster community empowerment and urban revitalization, this thesis explores the use of street art catalysts for transforming Los Cañones into a renewed, enhancing neighborhood.
