Sumario:The purpose of this paper is to describe the generating series of classes of Hilbert schemes of points on complex orbifolds. The computation takes place in the Grothendieck ring of complex quasi-projective varieties and uses the notion of ‘power structure’ in this ring (a method of giving meaning to the power of a power series whose coefficients come from a commutative ring). The authors do on excellent job of making the paper economical and direct.
