Sumario:This paper examines energy poverty in Ireland for the year 2015.The paper has utilised both objective and subjective measures of energy poverty to ascertain the extent and severity of the issue in Ireland. An empirical analysis has also been conducted to identify the most at-risk groups and the socio-economic and household characteristics that predict fuel deprivation. By identifying the most vulnerable households and the leading causes of fuel deprivation, policy recommendations have been formulated that would mitigate the impact of energy poverty in Ireland.
