Resumo:[EN] This contribution analyses the relationships among memory, stigma and control in different narrative pieces of the Cuban writer Ahmel Echevarría (1974), paying special attention to his romance La Noria (2013). In the introduction, the group of writers in which Echevarría is inserted –generation zero– is addressed. It also deals with the connection of this group with a corpus of the Cuban literature which has been frequently situated in the margins. The analysis of Echevarría’s selected texts is based on proposals from the sociology of deviation (Howard Becker) and, above all, on the symbolic interactionism of Erving Goffman. Finally, this paper reflects on the label literatura terapéutica, on its link with the Cuban Quinquenio Gris (1971-1976) and on its relationship with the literary corpus addressed
