Sumario:[EN] This is a study of a Cordovan family about whom we have information from the second half of the 2nd/8th century to the second half of the 4th/l0th century. Descendants oí a slave manumitted by 'Abd al- Rahman I, the document of his manumission has been preserved. The members of this family were thus Umayyad clients and exceIIed as soldiers and scholars. The most important member was Muhammad b. Waddah (d. 287/900), one of the scholars who most influenced the intelectual world of al-Andalus in the second half of the 3rd/9th century.
