Resumo:This Master’s Thesis focuses on optimizing the management of Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) within Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies division in Europe. The primary objective is to enhance inventory efficiency through a proactive and standardized process that helps identify and address planning risks related to misaligned MOQ settings. The proposed methodology combines historical data analysis, automated risk flagging, portfolio segmentation, and a monthly governance routine involving planner enrichment and escalation to decision-makers. The approach is implemented using Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint, enabling structured collaboration between Supply Planners and business stakeholders. The results show improved risk visibility, a reduction in excess coverage cases, and more consistent and timely decision-making. Actions included MOQ adjustments, transitions to MTO strategies, and product phase-out proposals for slow movers. This work highlights the strategic role of MOQ management in improving supply chain responsiveness, supporting stock optimization, and preventing planning inefficiencies. The methodology provides a robust and scalable framework for further deployment across different product portfolios or regional networks.
