Sumario:The objective of this work is to create the mathematical model of the drinking water supply network of the Pillco Marca district in order to obtain a diagnosis of its operation and then carry out a characterization of the existing problems and subsequent proposal of feasible improvements . For this, the mathematical model for the simulation of the current behavior of the hydraulic system has been made based on the information obtained by the Regional Government from Huánuco and the water management company Seda Huánuco. Of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) that allow to process existing information on the configuration of the supply network and in turn facilitate the allocation of the consumptions of the users, thanks to that the models nowadays can be realized to an important level of detail and to maintain the updated network information, GIS also offers the possibility of obtaining consumption by sector, kilometers of network, number of connections, etc. In turn has analyzed in detail the behavior of all elements of the red as well as has been characterized demand for power reliably represent in the model with software Epanet 2.0 which is used as a platform for simulation and hydraulic calculation. Finally, proposals for improvements are made, including the sectorization of the network to help us better distribute the demands of the sectors and optimize the operation of the system; The design of the valves necessary for the proper functioning of the system is done, the pumps that drive the water to the new sectors of the red are selected, a study is made of the elements necessary to protect the lines of impulse before the transient phenomena that could Occur in them, a contingency plan was also established in view of the possible failure of the most relevant red pipes; And finally an economic evaluation of all the measures established for the improvement of the functioning of the drinking water network of the district of Pillco Marca.
