Sumario:This Feature Article describes our mechanistic studies in organocatalytic Rauhut-Currier-type reactions and some applications in target-oriented synthesis. The developed approach involves the cyclization of two tethered Michael acceptors via dienamine intermediates and leads to highly functionalized cycloalkenes.
