Sumario:[EN] With the arrival of creative freedom, experimentation and the search for limits, Contemporary art slowly dissociates itself from physical matter to become ideas and concepts. This is the moment when the discipline of Conservation of Contemporary Art is forced to revise its principles, methods and strategies. The lack of information about some aspects that determine the conservation of a contemporary artwork can endanger the conceptualization and the physical artwork itself. If this information is not acquired in a direct and appropriate manner, it could lead us to situations of professional negligence that endanger the existence and the respect for the work. The purpose of this investigation is to establish early and safe preventive conservation guidelines. These guide lines, must respect the intent and the deterioration concept of each of the artists, through the information extracted by the use of the interview applied to a group of emerging artists. It is clear that the interview has been used successfully in an array of disciplines and in the discipline of Conservation of Contemporary Art, very little has been done regarding its application before conservation problems arise, much less when speaking about its use on emerging artists. In this work two interrelated phases can be established that will determine its success. After the introduction, which reviews the status quo and the key points of the research, a first phase begins, establishing the objectives and describing the methodology that will be followed. The theoretical section of the research has analyzed the bibliographical sources that provide historical information on the method applied to different disciplines and specifically to the Conservation of Contemporary Art. The following chapters presents an in depth analysis of three projects, in which the interview has been a determining tool. The presentation of a series of entities and lines of work where the interview is applied follows. In the experimental section we present the process, the application and the results of using the interview on emerging artists participating in the artistic projects Perspectives Art Inflammation and Me and Perspectives Art Liver Diseases and Me. Each of the experimental projects has been illustrated with a selection of case studies that will show in practice what has been observed from this research. Throughout the application of the method in the experimental section we have been able to see how the concept of deterioration will determine what preventive conservation strategies will be established. From this experimental phase we have been collecting and analyzing a series of results that lead us to final conclusions. These conclusions show the adequacy of the use of the interview on the documentation protocols for the preventive conservation of artworks.
