| Sumario: | The play by Alfred Jarry, Ubu roi, has become nowadays a work of repertory in France and throughout the world. In Catalonia, Ubu roi was performed for the first time in 1964, behind closed doors, in the framework of the Escola d'art dramàtic Adrià Gual. This study will address that experience, an unknown staging up to the present and to which we intend to honour as the first show about Ubu roi in Catalan lands. |
