| Sumario: | A new species of Entomobrya is described from a cave of Palma de Mallorca (Balearic Islands, Spain) by a method that uses a set of 39 morphology and chaetotaxy characteristics (JORDANA & BAQUERO, 2005). The specimens were captured inside the cave, a rare location for species of this genus. The species has not been found in the vegetation near the cave, but it seems to be troglophilous; the body surface and gut contents show the characteristic calcite spherules commonly found in troglobites. |
