Two new and two known species of Sphaerophoria St. Fargeau and Serville, 1828 (Dipt. Syrphidae)
Sphaerophoria vockerothi sp. nov. and Sphaerophoria asssamensis sp. nov. are described from India ; the former also from Taiwan. The lectotype of Sphaerophoria viridaenea Brunetti is designated. Spraerophoria brunettii Joseph is synonymized iwith Sphaerophoria scripta (L.).
