Abundance of ichthyoplankton stages of hake, sardine and anchovy during the "LLUCET" and "FIL" surveys (1998-1999) in the southern Catalan coast [Dataset]

Descripción
Sumario:This data set presents information on eggs and larval abundances, integrated through the water column, of hake (Merluccius merluccius), sardine (Sardina pilchardus) and anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus) in the southern Catalan coast. Samples were collected during five cruises carried out in autumn, winter and spring months from in 1998 to 1999. Hake eggs and larvae were mainly distributed over the continental shelf, with peak abundances between the 100 m isobath and the edge of the shelf. Sardine and anchovy eggs were found on the continental shelf, while larvae displayed a wider cross-shelf distribution
