| Sumario: | [EN] The ancient fortified settlement of Bam (Arg-e Bam or Bam Citadel), an excellent testimony to the development of a trading settlement in the desert environment of the Central Asian region, is an exceptional case in which the osmosis between the built-up environment and nature is complete and even enriched by its chromatic appearance and soft silhouette resulting from the interaction between materials and atmospheric factors. After the severe earthquake in 2013, Arg-e Bam also represents a meaningful example of massive reconstruction and, at the same time, a real example for a common comparison of the concept of heritage authenticity. |
