Sumario:[EN]Rationale: Clinical lactation units (CLUs) provide specialized breastfeeding care and conduct training and research activities. The provision of specialized clinical care for breastfeeding has increased in recent years in response to public demand. However, breastfeeding care is not included in the service portfolio of the Spanish health system, and there is no official registry of CLUs. This study aims to analyze and describe the current situation of these services in Spain./nMethods: Data was collected via an online survey addressed to directors of CLU in Spain, through LACTANCIAMAT and AELAMA listservs. Data collection timeframe was January to March 2022. Statistical analysis was performed with Excel (Microsoft).
