Sumario:ABSTRACT: The objective of this paper is the analysis of cross-dialectal interaction among the Greek colonies established in the northern Aegean Sea, alongside the Greek-Thracian border. Aside from the linguistic exchanges between Greek and non-Greek speakers (referred to as “Thracians” by the Greeks), I will focus on contacts between the various epichoric Greek dialects, largely from a diachronic perspective, including the process of koineization attested in this region.
