| Sumario: | [EN] In most of the cultivated areas in the province of Almería that originated in the Middle Ages, the main production unit for growing food for the local population is the water mill. Outstanding among them, for both its size and stylistic features, is the Cubo Alto watermill in Oria, which currently does not have a protected heritage status. The aim of this article is to contribute new knowledge about the construction, obtained through a survey and analysis of the present-day mill using digital models. Due to the existence of plans associated with the reconstruction of the mill in 1818, we have also been able to establish formal and construction comparisons with the present mill and propose hypotheses about the collapsed mill and the execution of the planned works at the mill in the 19th century, which were not the works that were finally carried out. Survey and analysis of the existing mill are conducted using digital modelling tools. |
