Childhood obesity is a growing public health concern increasingly linked to gut microbiota. We analysed associations between microbiota composition, functionality, and weight status in 1134 children aged 3-6 years from the CORALS cohort.

We analysed associations between microbiota composition, functionality, and weight status in 1134 children aged 3-6 years from the CORALS cohort.Funds for the establishment of the CORALS cohort in the first year of the study (2019) were provided by an agreement between the Danone Institute from Spain and the CIBEROBN. This study was supported by the EIT-FOOD co-founded by the EU (Climb-Out project; Ref EIT21249), the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MCIU/AEI grant, Ref: PID2023-150693OB-I00)), the Generalitat Valenciana (PROMETEO21/2021) and the award to IATA-CSIC as an Accredited Research Center of Excellence “Severo Ochoa” (CEX2021-001189-S/MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033).
