| Sumario: | The history of «Deportivo Logroño» during the Spanish Second Republic was marked by irregularities that affected the team not only in economic and sporting terms, but also in its relationship with the football federation. This article provides a detailed analysis of the club’s career from 1930 until the Spanish Civil War. For this, it relies both on newspaper and bibliographic sources. In the early 30s, despite being a referent in sports in La Rioja, the club faced both the major economic stress of professional football and its position as an external team in the Federation of Guipuzcoa. With regards to its sporting performance, the team achieved a semi-finalist position in the «Copa de España» and a championship in the «Torneo Mancomunado». Most of the time the club competed in the third division football category although it reached the second division during the season 1934-1935. During this period, the club had to deal with unfair decisions made by the football federation that were detrimental to the team. Lastly, the article examines the economic and sporting crisis that led to the extinction of the club in 1935, although it was never officially dissolved, as it is also demonstrated.
