Análisis de nuevos marcadores moleculares de aplicabilidad clínica en el pronóstico del melanoma uveal: papel de la oncoproteína DJ-1, la senescencia celular y la comunicación microvesicular

| Sumario: | Malignant uveal melanoma (UM) is the most common primary intraocular tumor in adults. It disseminates primarily through the blood stream and is preferably metastasized in the liver. Even with the successful treatment of UM primary tumors, patients are still at risk for metastases more than 20 years after the initial diagnosis. The aim of this study was to provide new insights on potential biomarkers for UM. We investigated DJ-1 actions in a cell culture, new senescence biomarkers in tissue, and the exosomes as a potential new biomarker in this tumor. |
