Sumario:In mature sun and beach destinations, new tourist products and experiences are gaining presence. Urban geotourism appears as an innovative form of tourism consisting of exploiting the visible environment of contemporary cities. This paper proposes a geotourist route in the city of Garachico (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain) using the catalogue, classification and assessment of the geomorphological heritage existing in the various geomorphosites or in the tangible cultural heritage. Fourteen natural and cultural resources, which are in diverse ways connected with the geodiversity of Garachico, have been selected. According to the variety of resources catalogued, the possibilities offered and the spatial distribution, the route proposed in open route format takes in the fourteen attractions selected along some 2 km of length and with a duration of three hours.
