| Summary: | The research group on Acoustics Applied to the Detection of Astroparticles of the UPV collaborates in the development of the KM3NeT neutrino telescope. Currently, an array calibrator is developed to emulate the acoustic pulse of the neutrino when it interacts with the water and calibrates the hydrophones of the telescope. Said pulse has the characteristic that being of a low frequency between 20 to 50 kHz, has a very narrow directivity pattern. In this work, a previous study with parametric signals is made that allows us to understand the generation of the parametric effect using a flat transducer. To characterise an element of the array calibrator by studying the linear and nonlinear magnitudes of directivity, attenuation and voltage variation, and presenting an adjustment value that shows the generation of the parametric effect, especially appreciable with the parametric sweep signals of long duration (1000 ¿s). Finally, a simulation of the behavior in directivity of the array of 5 elements is performed, hoping that from 100 m the entire array behaves as a single element. |
