Sumario:Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and supramolecular metal-organic frameworks (SMOFs) are porous crystalline materials which have become a very sub-stantial field of research over the last years. These materials consist of inorganic nodes (isolated metal atoms or metal clusters) which are linked by organic ligands (organic molecules). Nucleobases are suitable ligands since they provide porous metal-organic materials by means of coordination (MOF) or hydrogen-bonding interactions (SMOF).; Azken urteotan konposatu metal-organiko porotsuek (MOFs, metal-or-ganic frameworks, eta SMOFs, supramolecular metal-organic frameworks ingelesez) hazkunde nabarmena izan dute. Konposatu horien egitura kristalinoak estekatzaile or-ganikoen (molekula organikoak) bidez lotutako nodo ez-organikoez (atomo edo kluster metalikoak) eraikita daude. Nukleobaseak gai dira estekatzaile organiko gisa aritu eta material metal-organiko porotsuak emateko, koordinazio- (MOF) zein hidrogeno-lotu-ren (SMOF) bitartez.
