| Sumario: | This paper aims to analyze the causes (socio-economic, technological, cultural transfor mations, etc.) which led to the proliferation of women photographers in Germany during the period between the two wars, as well as the role played by educational institutions, especially the School of Photography of the Lette-Verein in Berlin and the School and Experimental Centre for Photography in Munich, the only two institutions in Germany which -at that time- offered official courses of study to women who wished to train as professional photographers. |
