| Resumo: | [EN] This essay is a comprehensive review of the main critical works on Renaissance dialoguepublished in Italian, French and English between 1898 and 2005. Due to the temporal andlinguistic extension of the topic, I have drawn —when possible— a narrative from the differentcritical developments, offering to the reader connections between separate linguistic domainsand discrete critical approaches. These links are not always evident without an exhaustivescrutiny of the bibliography. The limiting of my selection to three languages —with a fewreferences to the German realm— is motivated by the comparative possibilities and the critical framework it offers. In the near future I will hopefully write a review of the studies on SpanishRenaissance dialogue |
