Sumario:25 pages, 18 figures, 6 tables, supporting information .-- Data Availability Statement: No new data sources were used for conducting this study, being the salinity, potential temperature, and three-dimensional velocity fields from the reanalysis model GLORYS12v1 freely available at Mercator Ocean (https://www.mercator-ocean.eu/solutions-expertises/acceder-aux-donnees-numeriques) through Garric et al. (2017) and Lellouche et al. (2021). The data set containing the Lagrangian particles trajectories output generated directly from Parcels v2, without any post-processing, from both climatological annual-mean and daily mean simulations as well as the eddy-resolving daily fields simulation has been uploaded to Zenodo and is publicly available under DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.12772979
