| Sumario: | This work analyses two passages from two Flavian epic poets, Silius Italicus and Statius (Sil. 15.18-120 and Stat. Th. 11.457-473), in which personificated allegories are represented as characters in the story, Virtus and Voluptas in Silius and Pietas in Statius.
