This study shows the wealthy variety of their types –with a predominance of wine containers over those employed in transporting fish-sauces and olive-oil– as well as their origin places: Tarraconense and Baetica provinces, Aegean Sea and Eastern Mediterranean, Italic peninsula –Adriatic and Tyrrhenian coasts–, Gallia –Narbonense area– and regional productions./nAdditionally, based on this information, we aim to explain the mechanisms of supplying these products to the military camp of the legio IIII Macedonica in Herrera de Pisuerga, as well as the routes followed, analysing the commercial relations and the transport features that imply Hispania Citerior Tarraconense in the final moments in the conquest of NW peninsular area and its subsequent urbanization.La variedad y la cantidad de las ánforas halladas en el yacimiento de San Millán lo convierten en la excavación con la mayor densidad de este tipo de restos documentada hasta ahora en el conjunto arqueológico de Herrera de Pisuerga, en la provincia de Palencia. Este estudio muestra la rica variedad de sus tipos –con un predominio de los contenedores vinarios sobre los dedicados al transporte de salazones y aceite–, así como de sus lugares de procedencia: provincias Tarraconense y Bética, Mar Egeo y Mediterráneo oriental, península itálica –costas adriática y tirrénica–, Gallia –área narbonense– y producciones regionales./nPor otro lado, y a partir de esta información, se intenta explicar cómo se produjo el abastecimiento al campamento de la legio IIII Macedonica en Herrera de Pisuerga de los productos contenidos en estos recipientes, así como las rutas seguidas, analizando las relaciones comerciales y las características del transporte que implican a la Hispania Citerior Tarraconensis en los momentos finales de la conquista del área NO peninsular y su posterior urbanización.Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca (España)202520252024info:eu-repo/semantics/articleapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10366/165745reponame:GREDOS.
