Huelva: Editorial de la Universidad de Huelva: 125-139 (2005)" http://hdl.handle.net/10261/383811The discovery that the theme of Archilochus' fable «The Eagle and the Fox» comes from the fable «The Eagle and the Snake», which appears in the Accadian epic poem «Etana» must be completed with a study on its evolution in archaic Greece. The author trails some elements of it in several homeric similes and presages. He points out also that Aeschylus, Agam. 49 ss., relies on these homeric passages and together on Archilochus' version of the fable.
