Description
Summary:[EN] When a surface vibrates compressing the medium on its front, it generates acoustic waves. This is the case of loudspeakers, which generate acoustic waves at audible frequencies by means of a moving surface. In this paper, we present a tutorial to model the acoustic radiation of vibrating surfaces, differentiating between flat and curved circular geometries. First, we derive the models describing the radiation of moving surfaces, and we will obtain analytical solutions for the simplest cases. For the complex ones, the model will be integrated numerically. Both solutions have been incorporated into a simple graphical interface, with which the acoustic field generated by the different surfaces can be visualized by varying their radiation characteristics. The proposed methodology allows to deepen in the analysis of acoustic wave radiation, and to present an example of modeling for Acoustics students, from modeling to obtaining analytical and numerical solutions.
